I hope this fall is treating you well! People have just begun to harvest the corn & soybeans here in the farm country. I do enjoy this time of year and I am looking forward to driving the combine for my family’s farm. It has been quite a few years since I have been able to be involved in harvesting, so it should be good.
This last month has gone by so fast! I'd like to share a cool story that happened recently. There is a girl that has been coming to The Studio since the middle of summer and she is excited about riding horses. When she goes home from The Studio she often tells her mom about the horse program. The other day, her mom stopped by and wanted to visit with me and learn more about the program. I told her that it was a horsemanship program but starting next spring, it would also be a mentorship program where her daughter would have a Christian adult mentoring her. I didn’t know how she would respond…but she was excited! She was actually really excited about her daughter getting a mentor. She told me to be sure to send the application home with her as soon as they were ready. I was encouraged how this parent reacted even before the program has started and we don’t have a history together. Thank the Lord for good response!
Currently, we are still waiting for the corral panels. They are taking much longer to get here than anticipated! I am also working on getting plans for a small shed to hold the horse tack and feed. If you would like to help build the shed, or help fund the shed please let me know. I do not have exact pricing yet but am looking at approximately $4000. I also still need additional monthly supporters.
